The ‘Hangry Hikers’ team from Lindt were after some hats and t-shirts for their latest challenge, Oxfam’s Trailwalker. Setting off on the 25th July the team successfully completed their 100km hike in less than 30 hours (an amazing 28 and a half hours in fact!) describing it as the toughest thing they have ever done!
The teams 100km walk took them from Queen Elizabeth Park in Sussex all the way through to Brighton Race Course. Starting at 9am on Saturday morning and battling through the heat, the cold night, the wind and the pouring rain until 1.30pm on Sunday afternoon when they finally made it to the finish line.
Rachel added ‘It was definitely the hardest but most rewarding thing any of us had ever done but we’re pleased to say we have raised over £2,000 for Oxfam so far which makes it all worthwhile. A huge thank you to our supporters and to the lovely team at My Garment Factory Cardiff for our fantastic branded items we will treasure forever!’
The Hangry Hikers even delivered some chocolate to the office this week as a thank you. We are not too sure what we are going to do with it. We will probably get stuck into it all over the next few days and of course get sick of the site of chocolate after a few days (but it’s that yummy we don’t mind!).
