Saturday evening,
Wales came to a stand-still, the streets were empty and the atmosphere was
tense. The biggest ever Wales versus England game in the Rugby World Cup and wow it lived up to the hype!
Back and forth, end to end and absolutely brutal, nothing
was left in the changing room at all. The crucial try came from a moment of
magic from Cardiff Blues scrum half, Lloyd
Williams (who must have been inspired by his recent trip to our office!)
Operating on the wing and out of position an inspired kick put
Wales through to score the crucial try handing Wales the 28-25 victory. Que the
celebrations and euphoria around Wales (we’re
still not sure how England lost here).

We don’t want to take all the credit (we honestly don’t –
it’s a team game) but we would love to think that it was our personalised
towels that inspired the team. Lloyd Williams himself recently popped by to
collect personalised team towels for the squad prior to the Rugby World Cup and
has become a bit of an office favourite so we were obviously ecstatic when we
saw his amazing kick set up that all important try!

But if last Saturday is anything to go by the next few weeks
will be full of ups, downs and a whole load of drama but that’s Welsh rugby.
Best of luck to Lloyd & the rest of the team in the next few weeks,
everyone here at My Garment Factory Cardiff will be watching.

Over the years, we have had some
strange orders here at My Garment Factory Cardiff that leaving us scratching
our heads baffled, confused and of course we have the funny stories to match.
Yesterday afternoon several participants of the Carbage Run paid My
Garment Factory a visit.
The Carbage Run is a competition
that sees over 550 cars and 1500 people drive from the Netherlands to Aberdeen
in a car that costs less than 500
euros!
To say we were surprised to say
them is an understatement. But the teams had several challenges to complete
each day, with one of the challenges being to get their hands on a branded cap
similar to Onslow off popular British TV show ‘Keeping up Appearance’s’ who of
course is a car enthusiast.
Of course being the place to go for personalised clothing in
Cardiff they were in safe hands, our team quickly whipped them up two hats
which you can see them wearing below.
The guys even let us draw a
little My Garment Factory plug on the car (who knows with this little bit of
branding the Dutch orders may come flocking in).
Definitely one of the crazier and
more random orders at My Garment Factory Cardiff recently, but we’re rooting for
them and wishing them the best of luck to the team in completing the Carbage
Run!
